We offer human resource development within the area of health care aimed towards private companies, county council and municipalities. Courses can be designed according to your needs and demands. University credits can be offered. Below follow a few university courses offered in English:
Global Health 7,5 credits
The course comprises different aspects of global health challenges, especially in low and middle income countries. The objectives are to develop a basic theoretical knowledge about economical, social, cultural and environmental determinants of health.
Public Health, Health Care and Social Welfare in Sweden 7,5 credits
This separate course module is intended for both foreign and Swedish students. The aim of the course is to provide an understanding of public health, the health care system and social welfare in the Swedish society.
Public Health, Health Care and Social Welfare in Sweden 15 credits
The aim of the course is to provide an understanding of public health, the health care system and social welfare in the Swedish society. The first part is the same as the previous course Public Health, Health Care and Social Welfare in Sweden 7,5 credits and the second part consists of an individual written paper.
Disability and Society 15 credits
The focus of the first part of this course is on the legal, social and intercultural dimensions of disability. In the second part of the course the student will do field studies, investigate and report a real health or social care services problem.
Introduction to food and physiology of nourishment aimed to health advisors 7,5 credits
This course aims towards people working in the health industry. The aim of the course is for you to acquire basic knowledge of the cellular system and physiology of the gastrointestinal system, to understand how the body deals with energy and nutrition. The course is web based.
How do we react to stress? – effects from cells and molecules to thoughts and emotions
This course aims towards people working in the health industry. The course looks at different factors that can cause stress, what stress leads to, changed life style and different aspects from the society. The course is web based.
